Travelling all over the world for participation at the scientific meeting needs tremendous efforts as well as facing difficulties to conduct research; straggle with getting results to communicate with colleagues for challenge in the scientific community worldwide.
This needs even huge enthusiasm if one includes the obstacles and difficulty of travelling process including financial support, visa headaches, hotel, and airfare reservation for nationalities of some countries. However, neuroscientist never receive welcoming reception after returning from such painful but glorious scientific meetings.
Whereas such a welcoming reception is very usual for athletics, businessmen, as well as other professions including politicians for appreciation of their effort for good of the society.
Painfully, some neuroscientist suffers from irony misunderstanding; an irrational mixing up and replacement of tough scientific meeting with joyful holiday in some stage of their scientific career, even in the academic community; especially by the university authorities in some countries.
This means that neuroscientist clearly may definite the neuroscience first; then communicate with the society using a language which can be understandable for general public, including self-nominated neuroscientists as well as young students.
Communicating with general public in an understandable language will attract public trust to the neuroscientist; verifying competent neuroscientist from the fictional one. Awareness of the society not only attracts the social support; may also encourage the neuroscientist to comply with the ethics for good of the humane health and welfare.
Then may give freedom to the neuroscientist; and relief them from the influence of some local and/or global power owners who may direct their knowledge to the misery of the humane; due to the doual property of the knowledge.
As is true with all lines of the science; neuroscientist may train the next generation for continuing the farther research adding more data; enhancing our insight to the brain.
This necessity is possible with communicating with young students; encouraging them to follow the present generations.
This is why each year we appreciate the goal of Dana Foundation for Brain by celebrating the Brain Awareness Week as a partner simultaneously at mid-March.
